Josh Groban is starring as a boyfriend of Emma Stone in the new movie, “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” Groban is known as being a fairly young crooner. This is his first  appearance on the big screen, and he had to do a kissing scene in his first movie!

He said he felt “a little goofy” doing it, but since Emma is an expert now, it went smoothly. He has a sense of humor though because when he was asked his reaction, he said, “I didn’t take that class in college!” He said the kiss made him think of a song called Stand by Me that he sings.

I think they covered this because Josh Groban has never been in a movie, and it’s a big deal that he has multi-talents. It’s not really that special though since it’s only a small part that he’ll be in, but it’s still pretty good that he can do both professions.

There has been something going to between co-stars of Friends with Benefits, Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. A U.S. marine asked Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps Ball in a viral video, and Justin Timberlake told Mila Kunis to accept it, and she did. Later, Justin Timberlake was asked by someone as well, and he accepted it as well.

Now Scarlett Johansson was invited by Sgt. Dustin Williams, but he was rejected. She’s going to be filming that day, so she can’t attend. I think they could have sacrificed one day! I mean this Sgt. Williams is sacrificing his life many days! I think he deserves this!

I think they’re covering this in the media because it’s pretty crazy to think about a celebrity being with a marine that they don’t even know! It was nice that she still said her appreciation for the marines at least and sent him a Moet and Chandon in place of her.

In class we talk a lot about underrepresentation of African-Americans in films. I just saw that Samuel L. Jackson is going to be the lead star for a live-action portrayal of an anime called “Afro Samurai.” Jackson actually does the voice of Afro Samurai, which I didn’t know. So, I guess it’s not too surprising for him to be the one to do the live-action version.

I think it’s good that they are making a movie that has a more diverse cast. It’s interesting to have a the idea of a African-American Samurai because it’s a unique fusion of cultures. It seems like it will get a broader audience. Or, maybe it won’t because it’s too strange of a fusion for non-anime viewers.

I think the stardom of Samuel L. Jackson will help with the ratings or at least for the potential of the movie. I think it’s sad that the movies lately have all been about animes, fiction books, and comic books that already exist. How come they can’t come up with their own superheroes themselves!

So, Chris Brown is back in the news, again. Too bad it’s not about his music though. He lives in West Hollywood, and his neighbors are sadly not fans of him. I can imagine that it’s really frustrating to be in his situation.

Chris Brown is accusing his neighbors of falsely accusing him of etching his initials in the elevator of their complex. They’ve also complained about noise and parking violations. Chris denies all of these by telling the media that his neighbors are trying to frame him for doing the etching, saying that they are just lying about the noise complain, and that the parking violations were not correct because he actually was assigned those spots when he bought the place.

I think this is in the media because Chris Brown is now in the spot light more off-stage than he is on stage. Every since the Rhianna incident, people are eager to know how Chris Brown is acting. He’s being called out for very little things that’s aren’t really meaningful at all. I don’t get why people care so much about his personal life.

Carmageddon! Everyone Beware! It’s coming closer and closer to the weekend that everyone is dreading. This has been hyped up a lot everywhere. It’s everywhere on the news, and it’s everywhere on the freeways too. Even on the freeways that aren’t being directly effected.

There is a new video that pokes fun at Carmageddon called, “Hitler rants about Carmaggedon.” This video was probably made to have some comic relief about the situation. It shows everyone that even Hitler and Carmaggedon can be turned into something that is funny. The video puts Hitler into today’s time and pretends that he’s being effected by Caraggedon.

I think this is covered on Youtube, or more like someone made a video about it, because they knew it would be something they would get views for. Most people who are effected by Carageddon know the area, so many of the jokes that were made in the film would be relatable for the  audience. I think the closing of the 405 will be something that isn’t as bad as they ‘re making it seem.

I just found out that Lea Michele and Cory Monteith will not continue as characters on Glee after the third season! They are graduating from the club at the end of the season and there will be no reason for their characters on the show! Their characters were the main singers in the club, and a big part of the plot of the show.

I think Lea Michele is by far their best singer, but a character that people either love or hate. She is a character that is pretty annoying, but she is probably the most rational thinker on the show. There are a lot of emotions she shows and I think she will be greatly missed on the show to anyone.

I think the media covered this because Glee is becoming a pretty big show. This news is something that Glee fans would want to know because of how important the two stars’ involvement in the show is.

Emma Stone is an actress first known for her role as Jules in Superbad. She recently announce in Vanity Fair that she wants to become a professional baker. She wants to get an internship in New York to train to become a baker!

I think we care about her personal life because we think we’re part of her life. We think we know her, and just like you would with one of your friends, you want to know what she does on her spare time and what her interests are.

This makes me wonder if she’ll eventually drop acting in order to pursue a career in baking alone!

Amazon is basically the best website to buy regular retails items from – especially if you’re a student. They offer free two-day shipping for students! This is a wonderful privilege and it’s nice getting used to having things shipped in two days. On top of that, Amazon doesn’t charge tax! How they’ve been getting away with this is beyond me, but recently, since the tax percentage changed in Los Angeles, they’re now being forced to pay taxes!

Since they’re being forced to pay taxes now, that means that they must start charging their customer tax! I don’t know how many customers they’ll lose though because they still have amazing customer service, discounted prices, reliable shipping, and a great price matching business tactic!

I think the media covers this because it’s such a large corporate business that many people know about and use! They know that all Amazon customers will be interested in it, and there alone, you have an audience of a million!

Not only does 4th of July come with fireworks, it comes with sales! Most of the companies follow the trend of having sales during holiday weekends and this weekend is one of those. Notice I say most because I’ve noticed that not ALL of the companies call it 4th of July sales….interesting…

Express has a sale, but doesn’t specify that it’s a 4th of July sale. They call it “5 days to save.” Does this show that they are not patriotic? What does this mean? I guess even though it doesn’t say 4th of July sale, they still have red, white, and blue colors, and they might be trying to be unique to stand out. On the other hand, they call all of their other sales the same thing.

On the other hand, both Sport Chalet and Borders have emails ads that call it a 4th of July sale. I think this method of advertisement is more appealing. It reminds us of the holiday, and what better way to celebrate that then to go out and increase the fuel for our materialistic lives! =D

Happy early 4th of July!

We all knew it was bound to happen sometime. Google+. Google’s version of a social network. Since myspace was taken over by Facebook, it seems like Facebook is indestructible in terms of keeping their position as the lead social network site. Google always has intentions of being the best, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how pull this one off.

They introduce this new thing that Facebook doesn’t have called Circles. This allows members to make “circles,” or groups of people, so it’s much easier for you to allow information to be sent to only a certain group of people. It seems like an awesome idea and one thing that will definitely set them apart from Facebook. Another interesting topic is the legal issues about copy rights. I wonder what Google is going to be able to copy from Facebook, and what Facebook will try to copy from Google.

It’s gonna be interesting to see how they promote this and get the word out about their new social networking site. Google is probably the most visited website, and they’re the ones who control the ads through their site, so I suppose that it’ll be easy for them to do that.
